On May 25, 2009, a devastating domestic accident occurred at the family home in Phoenix. Four-year-old Exodus was playing near a home treadmill when she accidentally became entangled in a cord hanging beneath the console, which acted like a loop.
She was discovered unresponsive by her then-seven-year-old brother, Miguel, who immediately alerted their mother. Sol rushed to free her, called 911, and performed emergency CPR while waiting for paramedics. Exodus was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, where she was placed on life support. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, she succumbed to her injuries the following day, passing away on May 26, 2009.
